Try a Different Browser
 
Many times, the issues can be resolved by trying a different Internet Browser. Use MS Edge or Google Chrome. IE 11 and earlier are no longer supported.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Clear Cache (Chrome)

If having issues logging into CDI most times clearing your cache and cookies will help. 

Please clear the cache and cookies from your browser – open a browser window and press Shift+Ctrl+Delete 

 After completing this step, please open a new browser and go to  www.carestreamdental.com/cdi and login. You might want to also try an InPrivate/Incognito window or another browser. 

 
1. In a Chrome window, click the three vertical dots in the top right and then click Settings.
2.  Click More Tools > Clear Browsing Data
3. Make sure Cookies and Cached are selected and then click Clear Data.
4. Close the Settings window.

 
 
 
 Change Zoom
Click the three vertical dots in the top right and then increase or decrease your Zoom. You can also do this by holding and moving the scroll button on your mouse.
 
 
Courses Not Marked as Completed

If you have completed a course and the status does not show as completed, send an email to dentalinstitute@csdental.com and include the name of the course to be marked completed.







 
 
Unable to Download Training Recordings
 

If you attended a remote session and have been added to the CSD Guest List, you should have received a link to the guest email address. 

If you are experiencing issues downloading the recording, please follow the steps below. If you do not see an option to download please email dentalinstitute@csdental.com 

To download the recording of your recent class, click Open and Continue. Then click Download in the top left. After the download is complete, the recording will be saved to your Downloads folder. We recommend that you move this .mp4 file to a shared Videos folder on your network. Check with your IT person if you need help saving your recording to a shared location. 

 

 

Logging in CDI for First TIme
  
Complete Registration
 

If you have an account and this is your first time, or it’s been while since logging into CDI, please follow the steps below to validate your email and password. 

  1. Go to www.carestreamdental.com/cdi and click Sign In. 
  2. Enter your email then click Next. 
  3. Click Complete Registration and then follow the verification steps. After you have completed the verification process and created a password, you will be logged in to the Carestream Dental Institute. 

 NOTE: 

 If you have attempted the registration process and still experience issues, your email address already may be verified. In this case, click Forgot your password? and create a new password. 

Once your account has been created, you can save this url, www.carestreamdental.com/cdi, as a Favorite on your computer. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
Allow Popups (Chrome)
 
Enable Popups
Right-click the lock to the left of the URL and select Allow next to Pop-ups and redirects.

Enable/Disable Compatibility: Chrome
1. Right click on the Chrome icon in your system try or your Desktop. Right click on Chrome again and click Properties.
2. Click the Compatibility tab and select to run the program in a different Windows version.
 
Disable Compatibility: Internet Explorer
1. In an Internet Explorer window, click the gear icon in the top right and then click Compatibility View Settings.
2. If taleo.net is one of the sites listed to use compatibility view, remove it.
3. Close the window and then try again.
               
 Resize the Window
If you can hear the audio but not see the content, you might try making the screen smaller or larger. To resize a window, press the CTRL key and the plus (+) or minus (-) sign on your keyboard.
 
 

REMOTE TRAINING 

Take Action Description
 The Microsoft Teams app is for users who need to join a remote training session.
 
  1. Install the MS Teams app from the following link Download Teams Desktop App for Home or Small Business.
  2. Click on the link or open and paste into the web browser. 
  3. Click Get clients for Microsoft Teams.
  4. Click Microsoft Teams Download for desktop.
  5. When you join the Teams session, select the option to Open Teams (work or school) to go right to your training
  6. After you join the Teams meeting, find the phone number under More > Meeting Info.
  The GoToWebinar mobile app is for users who want to join a webinar from their cell phone or tablet.
   
  1. Install the GoToTraining app from the Play or App store. The icon is displayed on your phone or tablet.
  2. Open the app. The Join a Training screen is displayed.
  3. Click the dots in the upper-right. A keypad is displayed.
  4. Enter the training ID and click the arrow. You are redirected to the internet app and prompted to register for the session. Note: The training ID is a 9-digit number found in the email reminder.
  5. Enter your information and click Join, or Register if it is for future date. The app is displayed again and the session is launched.  
  6. Select I’m Remote so you will be connected to the audio.
